Ann Wagoner, Ayurvedic Doctor Level Certified, MA (Ayu), C-IAYT, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist, E-RYT-500, teaches Ayurveda and Yoga as Adjunct Faculty at Portland Community College. Ann founded the Center for Ayurveda and Yoga Study in Portland, Oregon which is a Yoga Alliance 500-hour, NAMA PACE and IAYT member school.
Ann’s speciality is Damstra and Jara Chikitsa (Toxicology & Rejuvenation) and she researched Ayurvedic treatments and herbs for the prevention of Cancer recurrence with the Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda. She presented her findings at the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, where she is a member along with Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She brings together Ayurveda and Yoga, two sister sciences, to expand understandings of mind, body and consciousness. Ann also has a B.A. in Philosophy from Earlham College, and a Master’s in Liberal Studies from New York University.
Ann has trained with many Doctors of Ayurveda from India and Nepal (BAMS), including Vasant Lad, R. H. Singh, Sarita Shrestha, Dr. Vivek Shanbhag, Hari Pallathery, P.H. Kulkarni, John Douillard and Shekhar Annambhotla among others. Ann has also studied yoga and Patanjali’s yoga sutras extensively with Rama Jyoti Vernon, Divine Yogini & international Woman of Vision. Ann was trained in the ISHTA style of yoga with Alan Finger in New York City and with Sraddha Hartung at 7 Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona. She teaches Yoga at the Sol Center and at Portland Community College. And she offers Ayurvedic consultations and private Yoga Therapy via Zoom.
Ann has taught Ayurvedic workshops at Portland Therapeutic Yoga, Yoga Pearl, The Movement Center, Harmony Yoga, NUNM, Portland Community College, Bastyr, Clark College, CAMP (Complementary and Alternative Medical Practitioners of WA) Belmont Yoga, University of Portland School of Nursing, Jade River Healing Arts, Opening to Life and Yoga Bhoga, and she taught healthy Ayurvedic Cooking Classes at People’s Food Co-op. Her Ayurvedic recipes are based on locally grown food in the Pacific Northwest from the 47th Avenue Farm. She also taught cooking classes at Transition Projects through the Oregon Food Bank and yoga through Living Yoga.
